CORPORATE BANTS

Are You Demure and Mindful?

Throughout the span of our lives, we meet people at every level, some of these people we want to stay in touch with for as long as possible, and others…. Not so much.

The thing is, in some cases it doesn’t matter how much you don’t like some individuals because in the long run they could prove very useful.

A good example is having a manager you don’t necessarily like, or working in a company that annoys you, of course you’re going to look for another job and try to distance yourself from the setting you don’t like but the way you leave is very important.

As tempting as it might be to just stop showing up to work and ignore everyone, that’s a pretty good way to earn a bad professional reputation that could follow you around for years.

In the labour market, you never know who knows who so you’re better off not leaving a bad taste in the mouths of the people that you meet, I know it sounds difficult but it’s a constant effort that you’ll definitely benefit from putting in.
