Hey, Workie!

Serious question: does anyone know how I can make money without having to do any work whatsoever?

Or better yet, can I get paid for sleeping? Because I just realized that’s my real passion, and they say do what you love, right? Anyway, let me move on before imagination kills me.

P.S. This newsletter is for undergraduates and newbies in the corporate space. Know anyone who fits this description? Please share with them

CORPORATE BANTS

You Aren’t Too Inexperienced To Have A Resume!

First, if you’re over the age of 16 and you don’t have a resume, I just want to know what exactly your excuse is. And I don’t want to hear.. “I have nothing to put on my resume” because that couldn't be further from the truth.

If anyone has ever told you the only reason you blow through your allowance really quickly is because you don’t know what it feels like to work for money, then you can probably relate to the dying need to want to start earning money. But there’s only one problem - No experience to get started or put on your resume.

I know, I know!

But fear no more because your corporate big sister is here to help!

So, here’s the tea on how to put together a resume with little to no experience, and it’s really not as difficult as it seems.

The ultimate rule of thumb is to play up the other aspects of your life like education (grades in particular), extracurriculars, skills, and every other little thing that paints you in a positive light on paper.

Even if you don’t have any tangible professional experience or you don’t have the best academic track record, play up your other strengths. Are you really active in a club? Do you have experience in student leadership? All these little things added up make for a really strong student resume.

If you still need some help visualizing what a resume with no experience would look like, here are some templates that you could use.

Now, are you going to get on that resume or keep on begging people for urgent 2k? 🌚
