Now, Let’s Get Into It!
Maximizing Results with Limited Budgets!
In 2021, P&G spent over 8 billion dollars on advertising - did you know that? Most companies don’t have P&G or Coca-Cola budgets but that doesn’t mean they can’t do great things!
From helping a brand break a Guinness World Record to recording over 3 billion naira in online sales revenue and counting - let me show you a few ways to use a small budget to do great things:
- Focus on ONLY things that will move the business forward. Identify a maximum of 2 things that will help elevate your business either through product awareness or increasing sales (ideally product awareness should eventually lead to an increase in sales).
- Know who your primary PROFITABLE target customer is to the T and pursue them exactly where they spend time. This is not the time to target men and women between the ages of 18 to 54 who have a thousand different interests. This is the time to focus on the exact persona that will move your business forward.
- Keep TRACK of everything you are doing with your limited budget. A lot of us don’t like to hear these 3 letters ‘KPI’ but you must ensure you measure where your money or resources are going because what gets measured gets improved on. Focus on what is working well and kill everything else that doesn’t give you the desired results - BE RUTHLESS.
Try not to PAY for everything with money. For example, instead of paying influencers their full rates - giving them free products and tickets to an event might be a great way to use what is readily available and have more money to spare on other emergencies (because the emergencies will come).
Note: this would work if you have an exciting set of products that influencers actually want - if that’s not the case, pay them their full money biko.
Remember, it’s not about how much you spend, but how smart you spend it.
