Although Warren Buffett is known for his smart investments, there's one market he overlooked: Banksy's art. From 2007 to June 2023, the market for Banksy's art saw an impressive annualized growth rate of 14.4%, even outpacing shares of Berkshire Hathaway.
And now, everyday, investors are seizing the opportunity to participate in growing markets, with Masterworks, the renowned platform for investing in blue-chip art. With 20 exits under its belt, investors have enjoyed substantial returns of 16.0%, 21.5%, 35%, and more. Thanks to Strictly VC, you can skip the waitlist.

THE BIG IDEA
The New Competitor
Have you observed that most African tech companies are no longer using Google? They are choosing Zoho over Google for their software needs, an Indian company that offers similar tools to Google.
Why? Well, first, let's talk about why these companies are suddenly switching to Zoho.
Using Zoho has saved companies a lot of money. Zoho allows you to pay in your country’s currency, not just in dollars. This makes it easier for you to manage your costs and means more money to grow your business.
For example, a Nigerian company called Flexisaf was spending a huge amount on Google’s services. But then they found Zoho and now, they're saving a lot of money every year.
In fact, Zoho now has millions of users worldwide, including companies like Amazon and Mercedes-Benz. Even though Zoho's interface isn't as great as Google's, for many African companies, saving money is more important than having fancy features.
In light of this, I believe African tech companies choosing options like Zoho reflects a growing maturity and sophistication in the African tech ecosystem.
As Zoho keeps expanding in Africa, it's likely to become an even more attractive option in the future. What do you think?

Do you own a pair of Nike shoes? If yes, have you ever wondered how the popularity surrounding Nike came about?
Of course, I’m not expecting you to wear your Nike pair and start thinking of its inception. But, it is an interesting one, come read with me.
Phil Knight, the founder of Nike, was a middle-distance runner when he was much younger. Also, he had a coach who was curious about better shoes for easier and faster runs.
Knight would later obtain an MBA from Stanford, and his dissertation paper on shoes predicted that Japanese sports shoes would become popular. Little did he know it was the kickstart towards the journey of a billion-dollar company…

The 8th Africa Tech Summit London
Have you been searching for a direct opportunity to pitch your ideas to investors?
The Africa Tech Summit is a major event where both African and international tech leaders and investors will discuss the future of technology in Africa. It’s taking place in London on the 7th of June 2024.
The best part is the Investment Showcase: A time African tech startups pitch their ideas to investors who are open to investing right away. Last year, Abraham pitched his startup Safiri and got funding because investors liked his idea.
If you're a tech startup in Africa and want to be part of it, you have to apply before May 2nd.
