CORPORATE BANTS

Cool It With The Office Friendship

Sometimes, in the course of trying to be friends with your coworkers you lose focus and start confusing work friends for day to day friends.

Don’t get me wrong, sometimes work friends cross over into day to day life but it’s extremely important to know where to draw the line.

Developing friendships with coworkers can actually be really beneficial but figuring out a happy balance is necessary to avoid see finish.

There are a lot of ways being too close to your coworkers could backfire, such as;

  • You could unknowingly start spreading personal information about yourself.
  • It could lead to misunderstandings and disputes over inappropriate jokes or statements.
  • It could make friendly office competition for promotions and raises complicated.

It’s not all bad but at the end of the day you should always try your best to establish clear lines and keep things sensible.
