On a scale of one to ten (1-10), how lit is your office’s end-of-year get-together game? And if you have quarterly hang-outs, rate the fun you have on that same scale.

No shades, but I heard there’s a company in this same Nigeria that plays YouTube webinars and serves Bigi Fanta for their office parties. I’m not mentioning names though.

#WorkitOut With CareerBuddy

You’re laughing with me, do you guys even do TGIFs in your own office?

Anyway, as the nice people that we are, CareerBuddy is shutting down Lagos on the 12th of November just for you! It’s tagged #Workitout with CareerBuddy.

Now in its second edition, #WorkItOut with CareerBuddy promises to be the owambe of the year for young startup enthusiasts and professionals in Nigeria.

And it’s not free, you have to buy tickets!

But before then, here’s all you need to know about the event

#WORKITOUT WITH CAREERBUDDY: ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW

  • Why #WorkItOut with CareerBuddy? Well, because work is deep, but it’s not that deep. Call it our mantra till November, you’re right. #WorkItOut with CareerBuddy is a work event, but not your typical work event. We want to give you all the network, career talks, breakout sessions, and panel discussions that your career deserves, but in a less formal environment. Who says we can’t talk about figures, goals, KPIs, and career plans while having fun?  Think of the feeling this way: you’re writing an exam, but you’re allowed to bring in phones and read from your textbooks. Shey you get? How cool is that!

  • What you should expect: When we say work it, we mean business; when we say have fun, we’re not capping. WorkitOut with CareerBuddy offers you a vibrant atmosphere to network with industry experts, find new job opportunities, and meet with HR all in an informal and chill environment.  We know you have a lot of questions and puzzles about your career and you’re sometimes confused about what to do. Well, you’re not alone. But you may be alone afterwards sha, if you don’t attend.

Okay, the thing is, at #WorkItOut With Careerbuddy, you’d meet career professionals on all levels as well as industry experts for you to learn from and connect with. Plus, we have an array of special guests that will leave you star-struck! What do you think?

  • Who is invited?: All career-driven Gen Zs and Millenials within the startup ecosystem. If you’re looking to kickstart your career journey (especially in tech), get new jobs, meet colleagues from other companies, and network with industry leaders and tech experts, this party is for you.

  • Where is it holding? Still a secret, but rest assured the event holds in Lagos (which you’d know when you get the tickets). You’re not in Lagos? We’re sorry, but #Workitout with CareerBuddy is here to stay and is getting bigger! We always have you in mind.

If you’re in/from Edo state though, I really don’t see how this should be an issue. Just say you don’t want to come

  • When is it holding? The event comes up on Saturday, 12th of November from 12pm to 6pm

  • What should I come with? Let’s start with you getting a ticket for a plus one, if you care about their career journey. Asides from that, come along with your fun self, and perhaps some cash for some shopping. Your favorite vendors may just be around for juicy sales.

  • Is there a dress code? Ditch your suits and ties, please! And if you insist you prefer that, our gates will always be open to you. But don’t be jealous when you see us in our chill and comfy wears; especially our CareerBuddy Branded looks.
